Copy the brief. Find an available agent. Paste its output into the next task. Repeat.
One project connects the brief, agents, dependencies, and results.
A project needs more than another chat
An individual agent can investigate a bug or write a change. A project adds coordination: who owns the task, what must finish first, which context matters, and when a person should intervene. When those decisions live across chats and terminals, you become the queue.
Norc puts that work in a shared Mission Board. Tasks have owners, dependencies, and recorded runs. Routing can use an assigned agent, configured triage, or a least-busy choice, with the reason recorded.
Make the next step ready to run
Consider a customer export feature: investigate the existing format, implement the change, then update the documentation. Connect those tasks so downstream work can receive finished dependency outputs.
When automatic execution is enabled and a dependent task is eligible, the next task can start. Agent queues and project controls still apply. A dependency means work is sequenced; it does not certify that the earlier result is correct.
- Project brief and relevant knowledge travel with the run.
- Configured skills and assigned credentials are supplied at run time.
- Run history keeps the work inspectable when you need to step in.
Keep decisions with your team
Set the working hours, autonomy policy, and budget before expanding the workflow. Inspect the transcript and evidence, steer an active run, or stop it. Configure recovery for blocked agents instead of silently retrying forever.
Start with one bounded project and two or three connected tasks. Add more autonomy after you have reviewed the actual outputs and observed where human judgment is needed.
Practical questions.
Does Norc replace Claude Code or Codex?
No. Those agents perform the work. Norc adds project coordination, context, dependencies, budgets, and review around supported agents.
Do all tasks run automatically?
No. Automatic execution depends on task eligibility and your project configuration, including dependencies, autonomy, agent availability, and budget controls.
